Last night, the hubby and I went to the Premier of a Film
Season here in Cape Town. It all sounds
very exciting and decedent, but it was a French Film Festival so not a huge
premier! The film was “Goodbye My Queen”
starring Diane Kruger, and I’ve been dying to see it since I heard it was being
made, as I knew the costumery would be amazing, and I certainly wasn’t let
down. The hubby was not impressed by the
subtitles, but think the free booze at the before and after party, and the huge
tub of popcorn I bought him, appeased him slightly!
This jacket is one of the few which I brought to Cape
Town and I love it, as this is it worn cropped (obviously), but there is a
panel which zips onto the bottom to make it a waist length mac. It’s about 8 years ago All Saints, but I love
it, and I still think it looks current.
Plus, the sleeves remind me of a straight jacket, which make it slightly
quirky!! Again, an all black ensemble,
but I really am trying to wear more colour and prints. I go back to the UK in a few hours for 2 ½ weeks,
and have purposely not packed a lot of black, so we’ll see what I can throw
together!
