I absolutely loved Emma Watson's Brood dress and Tabitha Simmons shoes. I loved the unusual shape, and the contrast colours. It was a brave choice, and its not her busual classic style, but I thought she looked amazing. However, many people didn’t as I’ve seen her on most worst dressed lists this morning. Same with Kristen Stewart. I loved her Guishem dress, most people didn’t! The purple and neon yellow accents against the silver based looked amazing. However, I do wish she’d brush her hair and worn a more fashion forward shoe than a court!
Other looks I loved were Emma Stone (who at the moment never fails to look amazing) in Martin Grant and Leighton Meester in Christian Cota.
One person who I thought looked bad is Jessica Biel. Normally I think she wears clothes beautifully, but this dress looks like it was knitted by my Granny!! The shoes make her impossibly long legs look short, and the cut of the dress makes her shoulders look huge. And don't get me started on the hair!! Its far to severe for her. I'm hoping its for a role, and she returns to her more floaty, natural look soon.
I love the fact that fashion can spark such debate and polar opinions. Style is something so individual, what I love other people hate and vice versa, but as long as the wearer thinks they look great, who am I to judge? In the words of Coco Chanel
"In order to be irreplaceacle, one must always be different"
which basically sums up my attitude to fashion. Love what you wear, to hell with other people's opinions!
Love how Emma looked!

I am so underwhelmed by the fashion at the Movie Awards last night. I thought Leighton Meester and Jennifer Aniston looked gorgeous, but that was about it.

Emma Stone looked lovely, what a gorgeous dress:) XX
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more with you! Something can look stunning to some and awful to others. But if you love it, what does it matter what others think?
